Martin Haines

DipRGRT MCSP

Physiotherapist

Martin qualified as a physio in 1983 and as Biomechanics Coach in 2010. He worked in the NHS then moved to Crystal Palace and Arsenal football clubs. He then set up his own practices in London where he looked after players from clubs such as Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Celtic. He has subsequently worked with the England and Irish rugby teams as well as McLaren F1 racing drivers and 5 Olympic champions.

Martin specializes in a science called biomechanics, which is the study of human movement and how the body’s different segments work together synchronously. Sometimes when this system doesn’t work properly it can predispose you to injury. This approach helps us to get to the root cause of your injury as well as treating the injury itself, and provide you with self-help programs to help prevent a recurrence.

This approach helps the sedentary who have recurrent aches and pains through to sportspeople who need to be fit for Saturday.

Personally, Martin is an accomplished author and has presented his work at scientific congresses across the world, including the IOC World Congress on Illness and Injury in Sport. He is a former Honorary Senior Lecturer at Salford University, has been on the advisory board to the PGA European Tour Performance Institute.
